SRUC has been rewarded for its efforts in teaching sustainable and environmental methods throughout its learning programme.
The Green Gown award was recently granted to SRUC during the UK and Ireland Green Gown Awards Ceremony at Titanic Hotel, Liverpool.
The Tomorrow’s Employees award is set out to embed learning of SEEDABLE (Sustainability, Enterprise, Equality, and Diversity, through Active and Blended Learning) among students, to build knowledge and increase creativity around sustainable solutions.
The four-year learning programme is principled around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Head of teaching and learning at SRUC, Pauline Hanesworth, said: "This is a testament to the commitment SRUC has made to support the embedding of sustainability and environmental competence through our curriculum.
"These SRUC students are the change-makers of tomorrow.”
